Aims:
This four-day course is designed to provide the student with the skills to design and deploy IPSec-based VPN’s in an enterprise network environment. This course provides the information and hands-on experience necessary to deploy Nokia’s proven methodology for VPN design and deployment.

Objectives:
Delegates attending this course will be able to:

• Describe VPN technology and VPN design.
• Perform Nokia VPN Gateway administration, configuration and management of site-to-site VPNs.
• Deploy remote access VPNs based on Nokia VPN Gateways.
• Install VPNs in differing environments and authentication models.
• Describe the many issues and solutions that exist in VPN environments, including routing issues and solutions to problems of authenticating IPSec users in a mobile environment.
• Use troubleshooting tools and administrative procedures.

Prerequisites:
Intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP packets, packet routing and addressing. Basic knowledge of networking concepts including network topologies, firewalls and remote access. Understanding of the OSI model of networking protocol stacks.
