Aims:
This three-day instructor-led course introduces the security administrator to the Nokia IP Network Applications Platform. This course provides all the information and experience necessary to deploy and manage the Nokia family of security products (IP330, IP440, IP650, etc.) Hands-on exercises enable delegates to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the operations of the Nokia IP Network Applications Platform and how to use it effectively to manage the IP security environment.

Objectives:
Delegates attending this course will be able to:

• Define Nokia firewall and routing terminology
• Identify the fundamental design considerations for the Nokia Security Platform (NSP)
• Effectively use installation and management techniques for the Nokia Application Platform
• Use the Checkpoint Firewall-1 management server and firewall agent installation
• Enable high availability through redundant firewalls
• Learn troubleshooting tools and administrative procedures.

Prerequisites:
A working knowledge of inter-networking concepts. Delegates should have a basic knowledge of networking concepts including network topologies and an understanding of the OSI model of networking protocol stacks. A knowledge of basic router concepts. An understanding of TCP/IP, network addressing and subnet masks. Completion of the Check Point N-1/FireWall-1 Management I course.
